Subaru Solterra in Twyford Berkshire
The Solterra ushers in a new chapter for Subaru as the brand’s first 100% electric vehicle. The 71.4kWh battery delivers a range of up to 289 miles, driving a 218PS/336Nm electric motor with Subaru’s legendary Permanent All-Wheel Drive system with X-MODE and Hill Descent Control to keep you out of trouble. 0-62mph in 6.9 seconds ensures swift performance with instant torque and near-silent running. Rapid charging at 150kW delivers an 80% SoC within 30 minutes from 10%.
Two trims are offered – Limited and Touring. Limited has 18” alloys, Subaru Safety Sense (Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Lane Centring Function, Blind Spot Monitoring + over 5 more driving aids), Panoramic View Monitor, a 7” driver’s display, 12.3” touchscreen navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry and start, and heated front and rear seats. Touring adds 20” alloys, a fixed panoramic roof, leather seats, an electric driver’s seat and wireless phone charging.
Design
Sharp lines, LED headlights, roof bars, wheel arch extensions and a sporty stance give the all-new Solterra looks to die for. It’s a class act inside and out, with the interior boasting a 7” driver’s display, 12.3” touchscreen and a sunroof in Touring spec.
Drive
With driving aids like Safe Exit Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking, 360-degree panoramic monitors and Pre-Collision Braking, the all-new Solterra makes driving easy. It’s near-silent and will go for up to 289-miles on a 100% charge.
Practicality
The 452-441-litre boot (Limited, Touring) is huge, and a powered tailgate comes as standard to make opening and closing it easy. Keyless entry and start is also standard and the rear outermost seats both have ISOFIX anchorage points.
Living with it
Powerful, near-silent, and boasting running costs, the Solterra is arguably the finest Subaru money can buy. All models have a heated steering wheel, heated front and rear outer seats, and reclining rear seats.
